At Seconline we have seventeen different colour choices for our security door and security screen outer frame as well as a woodgrain option. There are some occasions when this simply is not going to work and therefore we offer a powder coat option. We call this option a non-standard colour. The cost for this on a standard steel mesh door is $150. It may add a little time to the overall turnaround time of your door fabrication; however, if you are willing to be patient this option can be very problem-solving in some cases.
When it comes to choosing your security door colour and you are having difficulty then perhaps it would be wise to find out the exact colour your window extrusions or window colour is. If you built your home and had it designed by a building firm or architectural firm then it’s probably a safe bet that on your house plans would be all the colours you have chosen. If this is the case then it is going to be a relatively simple decision to make if you are going to match it to the existing windows or door jamb colours.
Sometimes it is best to absolutely match the existing colour and at other times it may not be necessary. If you have colours that are light in nature then a very safe colour that will blend with nearly all lighter colours in the spectrum is Birch White. This colour is very hard to describe; however, it is best described as a very neutral colour. Something like cows’ cream unwhipped. Most good hardware stores, as well as paint and fencing shops, have colour swatches.
There are other white neutral colours that you can choose from in the beige spectrum that are available as standard colours on the Seconline website, and these are Stone Beige and Paper Bark. Both are very similar and will blend with most lighter colours. It is not uncommon to coordinate security door frame colours and window screens as well. If you had, say, for example, Smooth Cream or Primrose window and door frame surrounds then Hawthorn Green can be a great coordinated colour. Again Primrose, Manor Red and Hawthorn Green are what we would call traditional heritage colours. Manor Red looks very nice with Primrose as well and also could be considered traditional and heritage. If you have an eye for colour then you can make your doors and screens totally unique by the right colour selection or by mixing and matching your colours to your existing house colours.
Some people like to match their door and insect screen colours to the downpipes and guttering. This could look quite effective as in this situation no additional colours are being added; however, you are breaking up the existing colour plan. Very seldom would downpipes and guttering be the same as the window and door jamb colours.
Interior decorators can be very useful when it comes to choosing the correct colours for your security doors and security screens. The colour scheme chosen is something that you will have to live with and so will have to either suffer or enjoy the consequences for a very long time, and so to pay for a little advice now may be a long-term beneficial thing to do. Whatever you decide, rest assured that you are selecting extremely good products from the range of Security Screen Doors Online at Seconline.
