Screen Door Online - Powder Coating

14 Apr 2017

At Seconline we use only professionally powder coated products.Powder coating is found on hundreds of products you encounter daily, from heavy duty machinery to your kitchen toaster, and Seconline Security and Barrier Doors, Security Window Screens and Fly Screens.

By selecting a professionally powder coated product you can ensure an attractive, durable and high-quality finish.

A further advantage to the powder coating process is that it is environmentally friendly and virtually pollution free. Unlike using liquid paint, no solvents are used in powder coating, so only insignificant amounts of VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) are released into the atmosphere. Unused powder is easily collected and can be both economically and safely disposed.

The Powder Coating process involves spraying a dry powder, consisting of a solvent-free dry mix of plastic resins, pigment and fillers onto the surface of an item. By electrostatically charging the powder it holds to the item, after which it is then “baked” in an oven. The extreme heat causes a chemical reaction melting the powder and bonding it together with the item, creating a smooth, long lasting finish.

Seconline stock powder coated screen door and window frames, 7 mm Diamond Grilles, plus all those important extras like bug strip, extension jamb and tracks in a range of eighteen standard colours.

The option is now easier than ever, simply download the Dulux Colour Chart (located beneath the colour palette on the product page) to view the full range of standard and non-standard colours available to be powder coated. Once you have made your choice select the tick box next to Non Standard Colour and type the full name of the non-standard colour as it appears in the Dulux colour guide into the field provided, and we’ll take care of the rest.

If the colour you are looking for cannot be found on the Dulux colour chart just give us a call and we can check the availability of the colour you require; 1300 735 405.

In most cases powder coating non-standard colour frames won’t add to the time it takes to manufacture your door or window screen. However, if your order is proves to be an exception to the rule a member of Seconline’s support staff we will contact you to advise a timeframe for processing your order, if we believe it may exceed our 7 days to shipment guarantee.

The sky is the limit on colour options for your Seconline Security and Screening products, contact us direct if you would like a sample of any of our standard colour frames or availability of non-standard colours. Get your DIY home improvement on the fast track with Seconline today!
