Measuring Corner Sliding Stacker Doors

Steps

1. Measure the heights between your tracks and take deductions as directed.

2. Measure the overall width of the opening and make deductions as directed.

3. Ascertain which receiving interlocks you require 3mm or 7mm (frame interlocks come with the doors).

4. Ascertain which door will house the lock and the lock height.

5. Order your doors. Stacker doors cannot be ordered online - email all details to info@seconline.com.au.

6. Install your doors.

TRACKING

Our doors have industry standard top and bottom rollers, you must have suitable tracking to accommodate these rollers.

 If you already have tracks installed you will have two sets of tracks; an inner track and an outer track that will meet at 90° where the doors are to meet when in the fully locked closed position.

Method

Seconline sliding corner stacking doors come in a couple of different combinations. For this particular application we are referring to four sliding glass panels that meet and lock at 90° and two fixed glass panels. We also assume that there are both top and bottom tracks as well as receiving interlocks on the fixed glass panels (tracks can be provided, however this will add complexity to the installation).

Heights: Measure from the top of the bottom track to the bottom of the top track (as per diagrams below; your top track will have either a flat u channel or a raised rail), measure at several points along the tracks to ensure there is no great variation. Use the shortest measurement and deduct 12mm.

Widths: Measure the entire distance between the glass side of the receiving interlock located on the fixed glass panel to where the outer tracks meet at 90°; add 70 mm and divide this number by 2 to give you your individual door sizes.

• Note: We add 70 mm as the two doors will overlap in the centre and you will have less visual impairment if the two door frames are inline when in the fully closed position

Deduct 10mm from the active door only; this is the one door that will have a lock. This deduction is necessary for this door only as will lock into a receiving channel fixed the the face of the non locking side which will push this door back by 10 mm.

Interlocks

Each pair of sliding stacker screen doors must interlock so as to open and close using the active outer doors. To connect the outer doors to the inner doors you will need both a receiving interlock and frame interlock; frame interlock is provided with the doors as standard, you will need to advise which receiving interlock you require by following the guides below.

Identifying precisely which receiving interlock you require:

Identifying precisely which receiving interlock you require is based on the widths between the inner track and the outer track:

• If the distance from the centre of the inner track to the centre of outer track is greater than 28 mm then a 7 mm offset interlock is required.

• If the distance from the centre of the inner track to the centre of the outer track is less than 27 mm and greater than 24 mm then a 3 mm offset interlock is required.

Note: Measure to the centre of the raised rail of the bottom track

If you do not have receiving interlocks on your fixed glass panels:

Identifying precisely which receiving interlock you require is based on the widths between the inner track and your fixed glass panel:

• If the distance from the centre of the top and bottom inner track to the face edge of the fixed glass panel is greater than 20 mm then a 7 mm offset interlock is required.

• If the distance from the centre of the top and bottom inner track to the face edge of the fixed glass panel is less than 20 mm and greater than 16 mm then a 3 mm offset interlock is required.

• If the distance from the centre of the top and bottom inner track to the face edge of the fixed glass panel is less than 16 mm then a flat interlock is required.

Note: If a flat interlock is required you will need to add 10mm to the individual door width for the door that will interlock with the fixed glass panel. The flat interlock does not allow enough room for the frame interlock to go between itself and the fixed glass panel, therefore adding 10 mm will allow the frame interlock to locate behind the fixed glass panel to allow room (see diagram on far right below).

Door lock:

The lock height you provide should reflect a height from the bottom of the door to the centre of the latch that will be mounted in the receiving channel.

The active door should be identified by pairing the doors as "Left Pair" and "Right Pair", then advise which door of the pair requires the lock. For example "right hand side door of the left pair", this should be ascertained from the outside looking in.
